HOW TO GET THERE
Getting to Haifa
Haifa International Airport is not your destination unfortunately. You will arrive to the Ben-Gurion (BGN) Airport in LOD, near Tel-Aviv. Thus your tickets and itinerary will specify TLV as your destination. Haifa is only 100 Km. from the airport. Walking to Haifa from the Airport is possible but not recommended at the occasion of the Workshop. Rather than walking we may suggest:
- "Service Taxi" - Brings you directly to the Hotel in Haifa for 67 NIS (~$20) per person. These are 10 passenger vans situated just outside Exit 2 of the arrival hall at Ben-Gurion Airport. The van will leave after all 10 seats are taken or 1 hour after the 1st passenger arrived. the travel time to the Hotel in Haifa will take about 90 minutes.
- "Train" - Direct train from the airport will bring you to Haifa "Hof Ha'Carmel" Railway station for 36 NIS (~$10) per person. From there you will have to take a "Special Taxi" to the Hotel, for 35-45 NIS (~$10-15 per ride). Trains leave for Haifa every 30 - 60 minutes. The station is one floor below the arrival hall. use exit # 2 and buy the tickets at the automatic machines or at the cashier. Almost same level of service and both accept credit cards. Tickets are used to enter and exit the railway stations. Try not to loose them.
- "Special Taxi" from the airport directly to the Hotel - for about $150 per ride. Either by Meter or fixed. Make sure to agree on that with the Driver.
- Bus # 947 will take you to Haifa "hof Ha'carmel" station (this is the Central Egged Depot) and then a Bus or "Special Taxi" to the Hotel
In any case, although you will manage by yourself, as there are very few languages not spoken in Israel, do not hesitate to contact us for any additional information.
